PUBS is a not-for-profit book shop run by volunteers. All our books have been donated and funds raised from sales are distributed via grants to health and well-being initiatives across the Glamorgan Spring Bay municipality – from Buckland to Bicheno.
Our space is filled with hundreds of affordable books of most genres. We have general fiction, romance, crime/thrillers and mysteries, fantasy and science fiction, holiday reading and children’s books, a wide selection of non-fiction and sporting books, some collectibles and much more. We also have sections on Tasmanian and Australian fiction and non-fiction and Australian authors.
A Little History
PUBS has been operating now for ten years. The first ‘pop-up’ stall was held at the Milton Winery in October 2015. Since then it has been moved to several different locations throughout the local area, until in 2019 semi-permanent accommodation was secured at the current premises at the old Council Chambers in Triabunna. The efforts of volunteers past and present have made PUBS what it is today, and we will continue to initiate new ideas and formulate plans for improvement in different areas.
